'Suits' Spinoff Series 'Pearson' Canceled After One Season
Suits spinoff Pearson has been canceled.
USA Network decided not to renew the show for a second season, Deadline confirmed on Friday (November 1).

The show, which starred Gina Torres, finished its one-season run a month and a half before the decision was made.
The show focused on powerhouse lawyer Jessica Pearson as she entered the world of Chicago politics. Her character originated on Suits, and the Season 7 finale of that show provided a backdoor pilot for the spinoff series.

Gina Torres' 'Suits' Spin-Off 'Pearson' Gets Its First Trailer!
Gina Torres will be starring in a spin-off of Suits and the first trailer for the new series, Pearson, has been released!
The new show centers around the world of recently disbarred NYC powerhouse lawyer Jessica Pearson (Torres) as she adjusts to down and dirty Chicago politics. Newly appointed as Chicago Mayor Bobby Novak’s (Morgan Spector) right hand fixer, Jessica is quickly embroiled in a crooked and dangerous new world where every action has far-reaching consequences. With her compulsion to win, Jessica is forced to reconcile her unstoppable drive with her desire to do the right thing – two things very much at odds.
The show doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but it’s expected to debut on USA this year. The network announced this week that Suits will end after its upcoming ninth season.
Also starring in the new series are Bethany Joy Lenz, Simon Kassianides, Eli Goree, Isabel Arraiza, and Chantel Riley.
