Kobe Bryant Visits NBA Store in NYC to Celebrate His New Book 'The Wizenard Series: Training Camp'!

Kobe Bryant is making a special visit!

The 40-year-old 5-time NBA champion and CEO of Granity Studios visited the NBA Store on 5th Avenue on Wednesday (March 9) in New York City.

Kobe invited local schools to attend the event to celebrate the release of his new Young Adult novel, The Wizenard Series: Training Camp, which is about five young basketball players, one enlightening coach and the awesome transformative power of the game.

Special guest and Hall of Famer Tiny Archibald shared his wisdom about life, sports and education to the group of young athletes.

This Is Us actress Phylicia Rashad also visited to describe what it was like to narrate the audio book and gave the audience a preview of this experience by reading an excerpt from the book.

The book reading and moderated conversation was followed by a Q&A session with the school children, who also left with personal photographs and signed copies of The Wizenard Series.

Michael B. Jordan Is Promoting Two Projects at Sundance 2019!

Michael B. Jordan is all smiles while participating in a discussion at the Filmmaker Lodge during the 2019 Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 25) in Park City, Utah.

The 31-year-old actor is promoting two projects at the festival and he opened up about both at the event. Michael is starring in a new animated web series called gen:LOCK, which will premiere this weekend.

Michael is also executive producing a new series called David Makes Man for OWN and he was joined by the show’s star Phylicia Rashad at the event.

Cynthia Erivo Celebrates Her Birthday at 'Choir Boy' Opening

Cynthia Erivo is all smiles while arriving for the opening night performance of the new Broadway play Choir Boy on Tuesday (January 8) at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in New York City.

The 32-year-old Widows actress celebrated her birthday that day and it seems she had a great time at the show!

Also attending the performance were Debra Messing and Cynthia‘s former The Color Purple co-star Danielle Brooks.

More celebs there included married couple Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson, Empire‘s Jussie Smollett, Elementary‘s Jonny Lee Miller, and mother-daughter duo Phylicia and Condola Rashad.

Phylicia Rashad has been cast in the role of Beth’s mom on This Is Us!

Beth is, of course, played by Susan Kelechi Watson on the hit NBC show.

The character, Carol, will appear in the second half of the season while focusing on Beth’s backstory, EW reports.

Drake Drops 'In My Feelings' Video with La La Anthony as Kiki

Drake has dropped the music video for his new song “In My Feelings,” which went viral this month thanks to a dance challenge on social media!

The video starts off with Drake arriving at the home of Kiki, who is played by La La Anthony. He throws a rock at her window and confesses his love for her and then her mom, played by Phylicia Rashad, shows up and tells him to leave.

At the end of the song, Drake wakes up from a dream and tells his friend that he had a dream in which he made a song about some girl and a kid did a dance to it and then the world did the dance and Will Smith was there.

Drake then finds out he’s on a movie set and the kid from his dream is the PA on set!

Joshua Jackson & Lauren Ridloff Celebrate 'Children of a Lesser God' Broadway Opening Night!

Joshua Jackson happily poses alongside his co-star Lauren Ridloff while attending the Broadway Opening Night after party for Children of a Lesser God held at the Edison Ballroom on Thursday (April 11) in New York City.

The 39-year-old actor and Lauren were joined at the event by co-stars Treshelle Edmond, John McGinty, Julee Cerda, Kecia Lewis and Anthony Edwards, as well as Nyle DiMarco who was accompanied by his brother Nico DiMarco.

Nyle is making his Broadway debut as a co-producer on the production.

Also in attendance to show their support were Rosie O’Donnell, Kathryn Gallagher, Isaac Cole Powell, Wesley Taylor, Corey Michael Smith, Luann de Lesseps, Mike Doyle, Phylicia Rashad and Marilu Henner.
