Did you know that Chris Pine‘s dad is also an accomplished actor?

The 41-year-old actor stepped out to support his dad Robert Pine at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ series Five Days at Memorial on Monday night (August 8) at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.

The upcoming series follows the doctors and nurses at the intensive care unit of a New Orleans’ hospital who struggled with treating patients during Hurricane Katrina when the facility was without power for 5 days.

Also starring in the series and in attendance at the premiere were Vera Farmiga (with husband Renn Hawkey), Adepero Oduye, Cherry Jones, Cornelius Smith Jr., Molly Hager, Julie Anne Emery, Sharron Matthews, Emma Forman, William Earl Brown, Sheri Fink, Michael Gaston, and Monica Wyche.

Co-creator Carlton Cuse, best known for creating Lost, also walked the carpet.

Five Days at Memorial premieres on Apple TV+ on August 12.

Synopsis: The more Laura (Farmiga) tries to set boundaries in her life, the faster those lines are crossed. Her 12-year-old son Henry (MacDougall) is in trouble again at school. Her own penchant for adopting stray dogs and cats threatens to overwhelm their Seattle home. And her phone keeps ringing with calls she refuses to pick up—from her estranged father Jack (Christopher Plummer). Maybe Jack will stick around. For Laura, the chance to accept, forgive, and heal will never go away.

Vera Farmiga is all smiles as she hits the red carpet at the premiere of her anticipated film The Conjuring 2 held as part of the 2016 Los Angeles Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on Tuesday (June 7) in Hollywood.

The 42-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Patrick Wilson, Frances O’Connor, Madison Wolfe, Lauren Esposito, Daniel Wolfe, and Bonnie Aarons, and director James Wan, as well as Scott Foley and his wife Marika Dominczyk, Nestor Carbonell, and Vera‘s husband Renn Hawkey.

The 39-year-old The Conjuring actress was joined for the market trip by husband Renn Hawkey and son Fynn, 5. At the market, Vera documented their fun time by taking pictures!

“I just wanted to study how to portray clairvoyance, and I finally took an ocular approach. She [character Lorraine Warren] has these beautiful blue eyes and her gaze is gently penetrating,” Vera told The Guardian about prepping for The Conjuring. “All the obvious stuff about her you can find online but I wanted more of the nitty-gritty, like how did it affect her sex life? If you’re domestic ballbuster by day and a ghostbuster by night, how does that affect your home life?”

“I opted not to go down to their museum of the occult that they maintain in the basement, Patrick [Wilson] and I both. We stayed upstairs,” she added, referencing the scary room from the movie. Check it out!

The 39-year-old actress, who just received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her work in Bates Motel, told EW how she found out about the news.

“My husband watched it live online and I was awakened with coffee and the good news. He’s my biggest fan and he was really rooting for this to happen,” Vera said. “I have to tell you, this was a really interesting experiment. I didn’t really campaign for this one. Not a lot. I did about three interviews.”
