MJ Rodriguez and Indya Moore both look gorgeous while walking the red carpet at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The Pose actresses were joined at the event by co-stars Dominique Jackson, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Dyllon Burnside, Hailie Sahar, and Charlayne Woodard and producers Our Lady J, Janet Mock, and Steven Canals.

The show is nominated for six Emmys this year including Outstanding Drama Series.

Ryan Jamaal Swain, one of the stars of the FX series Pose, is speaking out about the politics of the Trump era.

If you weren’t aware, Donald Trump is mentioned several times throughout the first season of the series and he’s basically an unseen character.

“Just knowing that Pose exists in this climate, in this time period, in this Trump Era…,” Ryan said in an interview with W Magazine. “I’m from Alabama and I’ve never seen Alabama so much in the news before this abortion ban. I was kind of freaked out when I got all of these notifications. Like, why is Alabama in the New York Times? Why is it here? Why is it there? Then I saw, and I was mortified. Because now, we have people trying to shut down women’s bodies, shut down trans military soldiers, we have these things that are trying to separate us in our social caste system that has been implemented in this country for so long.”

“What Pose does so beautifully is it allows people to create and to live in the presence of fear,” he added. “Having the courage to create, having the courage to say and be who they are, and truly choose their happiness and their truth over their safety, which is an unfortunate thing to have to think about especially in 2019, right? Like, you don’t want to ever have to think that you are not safe or your body is not safe in America, yet that’s what we have to deal with.”

The 49-year-old actor was joined at the event by series producer-director Janet Mock, as well as co-stars Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, MJ Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Bianca Castro, Alexia Garcia, Jeremy McClain, Dyllon Burnside, Hailie Sahar, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Sandra Bernhard, Angel Bismark Curiel and writer Our Lady J.

Also in attendance to show their support were Billy‘s husband Adam Smith, Pose season one star Johnny Sibilly, Adina Porter, Raymond Braun, Andy Mientus, Damaris Lewis and Peppermint.

The 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress donned a bold pair of sunglasses with a black blazer and a printed-dress as she was joined at the event by Emily Ratajkowski and Michael B. Jordan.

The return of Pose is less than a month away!

FX just released a new trailer for the upcoming second season of their hit series.

Season two picks up in 1990 on the day Madonna’s single “Vogue” was released, shining a spotlight on the ballroom community. The series will also continue to explore the HIV epidemic of that era.

The Ryan Murphy-created series stars Billy Porter, MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, and Ryan Jamaal Swain.

Billy Porter and his Pose castmates accept the Champion Award at the 2019 GLSEN Respect Awards!

The 49-year-old performer and his co-stars teamed up for the event held at Cipriani 42nd on Monday (May 20) in New York City.

Billy was joined by MJ Rodriguez and Dominique Jackson.

Also in attendance were their other co-stars Dyllon Burnside, Angel Bismark Curiel, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Indya Moore, Hailie Sahar, Our Lady J, and writer and co-executive producer Steven Canals.

The event was hosted by Star Trek: Discovery‘s Wilson Cruz. The View‘s Rosie Perez and was also there to show her support.

The GLSEN Respect Awards were introduced in 2004 by GLSEN, the leading education organization working to create safe and inclusive K-12 schools for LGBTQ youth. Held annually in Los Angeles and New York, the award show honors the work of student leaders, educators, community organizers, influencers, and corporations who serve as exemplary role models and have made a significant impact on the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

The Pose actors were joined by their co-stars Indya Moore, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Angelica Ross, Angel Bismark Curiel, Dyllon Burnside, and Hailie Sahar, as well as producers Janet Mock and Our Lady J.

Billy was joined on the carpet by his husband Adam Smith.

Pose won the award for Outstanding Drama Series at the event, beating out Billions, Black Lightning, Grey’s Anatomy, The Handmaid’s Tale, Instinct, Shadowhunters, Star, Supergirl, and Wynonna Earp.
