Every Major Revelation About 'Glee' Made by Creator Ryan Murphy in His Two-Part Tell-All Interview

We learned SO MUCH about the behind-the-scenes atmosphere on the TV show Glee from series creator Ryan Murphy‘s two-part tell-all interview and we’re recapping the 36 biggest revelations.

The 56-year-old television producer was the first guest on Glee stars Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz‘s new recap podcast And That’s What You REALLY Missed.

The nearly three-hour interview was split into two episode and now that both episodes are out, let’s go over the biggest things we learned throughout the two parts.

While being introduced on the first half of the podcast, Ryan confirmed that he was down to answer any question.

“I sort of told you both like, I’ve never really talked about the making of Glee and for all of us, I think it was the beginning of a lot of things and the end of a lot of things. And you know what, I’m just going to talk about all of it and answer anything that’s asked of me. This is going to be like a really intense therapy session,” he said. “There’s no question too small or too big.”

'Glee' Creator Ryan Murphy Admits the Show Should Have Ended When Cory Monteith Died

Ryan Murphy is opening up about handling the death of Cory Monteith on Glee and why he thinks the show should’ve ended after the young actor died.

Cory played the lead role of Finn Hudson on Glee and he died in July 2013, right before the show went into production on season five. The show paid tribute to Cory and Finn in episode three of that season, which was titled “The Quarterback.”

“I would not have done that show now. I just would not have done it. I felt like it was way too raw and way too soon,” Ryan said during an episode of the new Glee recap podcast And That’s What You REALLY Missed with hosts Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale.
