Yekshemesh, Borat is back!
Sacha Baron Cohen revived his Kazakh television journalist character for the 45th annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. on Sunday (December 4).
“Before I proceed, I will say I am very upset about the antisemitism in US and A,” he said as Borat. “It not fair. Kazakhstan is No. 1 Jew-crushing nation. Stop stealing our hobby. Stop the steal! Stop the steal!”
“Your Kayne. He tried to move to Kazakhstan and even tried to change his name to Kazakhstan-ye West. But we said no. He’s too anti-semitic even for us.”
Borat himself is known for his jokes making fun of Jewish people.
Sacha Baron Cohen, who is Jewish, had previously stated that he would never bring Borat back again.
Borat also set his sights on former president Donald Trump.
Borat said, “I’m told president of U.S. and A. is here. Where are you, Mr. Trump?”
As he looked at president Joe Biden, he said, “You don’t look so good! Where has your glorious big belly gone and your pretty orange skin? I see you have a new wife. Wah-wah-wee-wah!”
George Clooney attended the Kennedy Center Honors with his wife Amal, and was honored alongside musicians Amy Grant, Gladys Knight, U2 and American composer, conductor and educator Tania León.
