Sadie Robertson is sharing a sweet pregnancy update!

On Friday (April 23), the 23-year-old Duck Dynasty star revealed the name of the unborn daughter she is expecting with husband Christian Huff.

“Going ahead and telling the world our sweet babies name because i would rather y’all hear it from me and christian then things going around. this little girl and her name already mean the world to us 💛” Sadie wrote. “Honey James Huff.”

After revealing Honey‘s name, Sadie went on to share the religious meaning behind the name.

“’Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.’ Proverbs‬ ‭16:24‬,” Sadie quoted from the Bible. “I’ve always loved this verse. Its made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It’s a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component. When Christian and I started dating we went through the book of Proverbs together and I remember getting to chapter 16 and as I read verse 24 i said to him, ‘you have words like honey. they are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.’”

Along with a post, Sadie shared a photo from her first date with Christian, when they painted ceramic mugs together.

“On our first date we went to do pottery together and on my cup i simply wrote ‘honey’ because i called him the boy with the honey words,” Sadie wrote. “Fast forward 2 and a half years later and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words. Not to mention this word reminds me of my great grandma who calls everyone she loves honey.”

Sadie concluded, “Oh Honey, you are named with such intention. I pray over you all the time that you would be sweet and strong and you know what? I already know it that you are. Those words will be your super power in life. We can’t wait to meet you and see your story unfold before our eyes 🍯”

Sadie and Christian have been married since 2019. They announced in October that they were expecting their first child together.

Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Sadie revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19.

The 23-year-old public speaker, who is expecting her first child with husband Christian Huff, revealed she tested positive for the virus, along with her mother, Korie, and sister, Bella.

“Life update: I’m not going to lie, this has been one of the most challenging things. I got COVID-19 and ended up getting very sick,” Sadie shared in an Instagram post, with a throwback pic from her hospital stay.

She continued, “I know everyone experiences covid differently, but wow these symptoms are wild. I’ve definitely struggled through this one! Thankfully baby Huff is doing great and healthy, and I am now healing as well.”

Sadie did assure fans that she’s “no longer in the hospital (this pic was not from today) and I have just about fully recovered.”

“I’ve learned a lot and I have been challenged in a lot of new ways,” she says. “I will say my dependency on Jesus has never felt greater in some of the hardest moment of this sickness. I’m thankful I serve a savior who is with me in these moments that feel rather lonely.”

Sadie Robertson is pregnant with her first child!

The 23-year-old Duck Dynasty star announced on her social media that she and husband, Christian Huff, were expecting over the weekend.

“SCREAMING WITH EXCITEMENT TO SHARE THIS NEWS!” Sadie excitedly announced with an image on Instagram, where the couple are showing off the sonogram pictures.

She added, “We are thankful to be carrying a miracle into the world! Baby, you are already loved and already believed in. Can’t wait to welcome you into the world with all the joy, hope, and excitement you will bring into the life of so many by your miraculous incredible life.”

Christian also posted the happy news, adding his own caption: “mom & dad.”

Sadie and Christian tied the knot just last November at her parents’ home in Louisiana after a short engagement of just a few months.

Sadie Robertson is speaking out in response to the news that her grandfather Phil Robertson has an adult daughter from an affair he had in the 1970s.

The 74-year-old Duck Dynasty star shared the news on his podcast this week during a conversation with his sons.

Phil‘s long lost daughter, a 45-year-old woman named Phyliss, contacted his sons and explained her story. They did a DNA test and it ended up being a “99.99 percent match.”

“We know that in all things — in all things, even sin — God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose,” Phil said while quoting a bible verse. “It’s a pretty cool explanation of redemption, reconciliation, love. As it turns out, 45 years, you have a daughter that you don’t know about and she has a father she doesn’t know about. Forty-five years, that doesn’t sound like very long but … that’s a while. So finally, after all those years, we’ve come together.”

Sadie responded to the story on Instagram by saying, “The bigger the better,” referring to her growing family.

Sadie got married last November and shared a photo from the special day.

The 22-year-old Duck Dynasty star and her fiance officially tied the knot while surrounded by loved ones on Monday (November 25) in Sadie‘s parents’ home in West Monroe, La., The News-Star reports.

Sadie wore a wedding dress from Kleinfeld Bridal before changing into a more comfortable dress by Sherri Hill for the reception, E! News reports.

“I have been looking forward to the dance party at my wedding for my whole life,” Sadie told the outlet. “I got a reception dress so I can do my dancing, it’s really fun and pretty and has more details than my wedding dress.”

Sadie‘s sisters were reportedly her bridesmaids, and her brothers were some of the groomsmen.

Celebrity friends in attendance included Touched by an Angel‘s Roma Downey, her husband Mark Burnett, and Alfonso Ribeiro.

Sadie Robertson also told the outlet ahead of the event that the wedding was at night “because we want to have Christmas lights everywhere, it’s going to be very magical.”
