Author Kyle Newman is joined by his friend Joe Manganiello and wife Jaime King at the launch of his new book Dungeons & Dragons – Art & Arcana: A Visual History on Wednesday night (October 24) at Book Soup in Los Angeles.

Kyle was joined by co-authors Michael Witwer, Jon Peterson, and Sam Witwer to autograph copies of the book, which provides an unprecedented look at the visual evolution of the game, showing its continued influence on the worlds of pop culture and fantasy.

Joe, who is a lifelong D&D player, wrote the foreword to the book.

“My amazing husband @kyle_newman is a published author!!! ❣️ I’m so unbelievably proud of him! Go support him and his incredible book available now,” Jaime wrote on her Instagram account.

Also at the event to show their support were Emile Hirsch, Kick Gurry, and married couple Chris Hardwick and Lydia Hearst.

Sam Witwer gets into character in his first sighting on the set of Once Upon a Time on Tuesday afternoon (March 29) in Vancouver, Canada.

The 38-year-old actor, who is guest starring on the long-running ABC series, was joined by cast members Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Colin O’Donoghue, Rebecca Mader, and Jared Gilmore.

Sam will be playing Jacob, the evil and overbearing warden of a mental institution who “takes pleasure in tormenting his most disturbed and helpless patients,” according to Deadline. It is rumored that his character is modeled after Jekyll from Jekyll & Hyde.

Jaime King happily poses alongside her son James Knight and her husband Kyle Newman while attending the premiere of his new film Barely Lethal held at ArcLight Hollywood on Wednesday (May 27) in Hollywood.

The 36-year-old pregnant actress and her family were joined at the event by Seth Green and his wife Clare Grant, Topher Grace, Sam Witwer, Steve-O and his girlfriend Stacey Solomon, Rachael Harris, and Brett Ratner.

Sam Witwer goes shirtless in one of the recent episodes of his beloved Syfy series Being Human, which will be ending its run tonight.

The 36-year-old actor recently told TV Guide that the show’s team requested that the current fourth season be the show’s last.

“The whole season is an ending, Because we requested it, Anna Fricke made a deal with Syfy that we’d be allowed to write to an end this year. I want to give Syfy major credit for allowing us to do that, not just have three episodes to end it with. The other part is that the British series did 37 episodes, while we did 52. That’s a lot of stories between a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost,” Sam said.

Richard Madden and Kit Harington step out for a night of partying at Entertainment Weekly’s 2013 Comic-Con Celebration held at Float at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on Saturday (July 20) in San Diego, Calif.

The Game of Thrones guys were joined by Jenna Coleman, who is Richard‘s girlfriend, Sam Witwer, and Zach McGowan.

“Jon is always looking for these paternal figures. What’s interesting, coming up, he becomes one of those types of figures,” Kit said at the 2013 Comic-Con Game of Thrones panel about his character Jon Snow’s upcoming arc in the next season.

Here’s what the 35-year-old Being Human actor had to share:

On the coolest piece of geek paraphernalia he owns: “When I did Force Unleashed, I was Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice, so I felt that it was entirely appropriate to have a Darth Vader replica helmet that looking down over my office.”

On finding time to play in his band The Crashtones while his busy acting schedule: “Difficult is an understatement. Music was my first love and it became my chief creative outlet when, early in my acting career, I was sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. Fast forward and the phone has been ringing for several years now. Problem is that it leaves little time for my own creative projects. I have a half finished album for The Crashtones and it will be completed. Just need some down time to devote to it. These are good problems to have. For right now, my fans will have to be okay with “Colorful of the Stereo” which can be found at www.cdbaby.com and iTunes.”

On what he likes to do besides making music and acting: “Write music. Write scripts. Build computers. Jog. Lift weights. Read comics. Read books. Play games. Drive. I’m a little all over the place.”
