Meet Taylor Louderman, Regina George in Broadway's 'Mean Girls,' with These 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

Taylor Louderman is about to become one of Broadway’s biggest stars thanks to her role as Regina George in Mean Girls and we caught up with her to learn more about her!

The 27-year-old actress is no stranger to bringing a film role to life on stage as she previously originated a character inspired by Kirsten Dunst‘s Campbell in Bring It On: The Musical.

Since then, Taylor has been working steadily in the New York theater scene and she also starred as Wendy Darling in NBC’s Peter Pan Live!

Here are 10 Fun Facts about the rising star:

  • 1. I am from a small town in Missouri where the cattle population exceeds the human population. No stoplights. No McDonald’s. Yes, electricity.
  • 2. I have four younger sisters; we are all addicted to The Sims (all expansion packs). Mom gets so annoyed. ;-)
  • 3. I enjoy self-help books. Just finished “Give And Take” by Adam Grant. Inspiring me to be more of a “giver” because why else do I exist.
  • 4. I played years of basketball, soccer, and volleyball growing up. My dad coached me in a lot of sports.
  • 5. I eat a little bit of Halo Top every night. :-/

'Peter Pan Live' Ratings Strong, But Fall from 'Sound of Music'

The new NBC tradition of airing a live musical continued for the second year with Peter Pan Live and while the ratings were strong, they fall sharply from last year’s The Sound of Music Live.

The three-hour production pulled in a 5.9 rating, down from The Sound of Music‘s 10.9 rating. That means that 5.9% of all television equipped households in the country were tuned in during the show.

“We’re very pleased with the Peter Pan ratings and it was a great night for NBC. We won every hour, which hasn’t happened on Thursday with entertainment programming since a year ago,” NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt said in a statement (via THR). “I’m proud to be part of a company that takes chances and creates big events, and that’s exactly what we’re going to continue to do. We didn’t expect to reach the same rating as The Sound of Music since that was the first live movie event of its kind in over 50 years. But the high wire act of Peter Pan was a joy for everyone involved and I take my hat off to Allison Williams, Christopher Walken, the entire company, and our incredible directors and producers for three months of the hardest work I’ve ever seen. I love these live events and we’re already working on putting the next one together.”
