Nicole Kidman Attends 'The Music Man' On Broadway, Donates $100,000 to Charity for Hat Worn by Hugh Jackman

Nicole Kidman spent the night watching her former co-star Hugh Jackman in action on Broadway.

The 55-year-old The Northman actress attended her Australia and Happy Feet collaborator’s The Music Man show on Saturday (November 26) in New York City.

After the show, she donated $100,000 to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs while bidding on a hat worn by Hugh onstage.

Hugh Jackman's 'The Music Man' Extends Broadway Run By Another Two Weeks!

Hugh Jackman is extending his run on Broadway!

The 54-year-old actor looked so dapper while stepping out at Good Morning America ahead of the announcement on Monday (November 7) in New York Cit.

Hugh was on the morning show to promote his new movie The Son and it was also announced that he will perform another two weeks of shows in The Music Man on Broadway.

The smash-hit musical was scheduled to end its Broadway run on January 1, but now it will play until January 15, 2023 due to popular demand, according to producers.

“The hunger of audiences for our show continues unabated. We are grateful to Hugh and Sutton and our entire glorious company for agreeing to add these additional 16 performances,” said producer Kate Horton. “The joy they bring to audiences night after night is incredible to witness and we know this The Music Man will be remembered long after the final curtain comes down. If we could go on forever, we would.”

Hugh Jackman & Sutton Foster's 'The Music Man' Gets a Cast Recording - Listen Now!

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster‘s production of The Music Man has been on Broadway since December 2021 and will close at the end of the year, but the show will live on forever through this new cast recording!

The new album features the full original cast of the revival production, including Shuler Hensley, Jefferson Mays, Jayne Houdyshell, and Marie Mullen.

The Music Man is currently playing to sold-out audiences at the Winter Garden Theater on Broadway and the production will play its final performance on January 1, 2023. Tickets for the final dates are on sale now!

Hugh Jackman Tests Positive for COVID-19 After Attending Tony Awards, Will Miss 'The Music Man' Performances

Hugh Jackman has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss performances of The Music Man for the next week.

The 53-year-old actor just announced that he tested positive on Monday morning (June 13), hours after he attended the 2022 Tony Awards as both a nominee and performer.

Hugh will be out of the show through June 21 and his standby, Max Clayton, will be performing the role of Harold Hill for all performances through then. Sutton Foster is still scheduled to appear in the performances.

The previous Tony winners, who are both nominated this evening, gave an incredible performance of “76 Trombones” from their show The Music Man on Sunday (June 12) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Hugh is up for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical and Sutton is nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical. The show is up for Best Revival of a Musical!

It was just announced that a new block of tickets for The Music Man is on sale. The show will now be running through at least November 27.

Hugh Jackman's 'The Music Man' Cancels Performances Due to COVID-19 After Viral Understudy Moment

Hugh Jackman‘s production of The Music Man just started performances on Broadway this week and it has unfortunately already been affected by COVID-19.

After a long delay in the start of production, Hugh and the cast were able to perform four times before they had to cancel some performances. At the most recent show, leading lady Sutton Foster was out sick after testing positive for COVID-19 and her understudy Kathy Voytko saved the day by going on with just a few hours of rehearsal time.
