Are These Stars All Leaving 'Saturday Night Live'? Find Out Why People Are Speculating!

Some stars of Saturday Night Live are causing a lot of speculation on social media!

Following the season finale of the long-running sketch comedy show on Saturday night (May 22), fans began to worry that several major players on the series might be signaling their goodbyes.

Following the episode, several major names started trending as potential castmates leaving the show.

If you didn’t know, seven seasons is generally the standard length of the SNL contract. There are a ton of castmates who are at that point and beyond, via Deadline: Kenan Thompson (18 seasons), Kate McKinnon (10), Aidy Bryant (9), Cecily Strong (9), Colin Jost (8), Beck Bennett (8), Kyle Mooney (8), Michael Che (7).

There are some stars who have made it clear they’re staying, including Michael Che, who said he’s “99.9″ percent sure he’s coming back on The View recently.

Many others, however, seemed to hint at their departure.

The show’s cold open kicked off with the show’s longest-running players, who almost all teared up while speaking.

“This is a year when we realized we are more than just a cast, we are a family,” Kate said, tearing up.

Later on during Weekend Update, Pete said: “I’m very grateful to be here, and it has been an honor to grow up in front of you guys.”

In the same segment, Cecily played Judge Jeanine Pirro and closed out the segment with a performance of “My Way,” singing the sign-off: “I did it my way.”

“I hear nothing is final yet but even if just a few of the long-time eight cast members leave, we would have one of the biggest cast overhauls in SNL history,” a Deadline insider noted of the rumblings of multiple departures.

Pete Davidson made headlines for his Weekend Update speech – find out why.
