Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Not Going To Attend The Princess Diana Statue Installation Next Month in London

It looks like Meghan Markle will be absent from another royal family event.

According to a report, the Duchess of Sussex will not be attending the Princess Diana statue installation and tribute that’s taking place next month in London with Prince Harry.

A source shared with Entertainment Tonight that Meghan, who just welcomed a daughter with Harry, is focusing on being a new mom again.

“Meghan has just had a baby and has no plans to travel to London for the memorial event planned for the statue unveiling in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace,” the insider shared.

Harry, and his older brother, Prince William, commissioned the statue three years ago and it will mark the 23rd anniversary of Diana’s tragic death. The unveiling will take place on what would’ve been Diana‘s 60th birthday.

“The Princes hope that the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on their mother’s life and her legacy,” a statement from Kensington Palace at the time read.

The memorial will “recognize her positive impact in the UK and around the world.”

If you missed it, this is how Meghan and Harry are keeping the royal family in the loop about baby Lilibet.
