The debut trailer for the Borderlands movie just dropped online!

Here is the film’s synopsis: “Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an infamous treasure hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramírez), the universe’s most powerful S.O.B. She forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits – Roland (Kevin Hart), once a highly respected soldier, but now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the scientist who’s seen it all; and Claptrap (Jack Black), a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. Eli Roth is directing the movie from a screenplay he wrote with Craig Mazin.

The upcoming movie Borderlands, based on the popular video game, is one of the most highly anticipated movies in the works right now!

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is starring in the new movie as Dr. Patricia Tannis, snapped some great photos of the cast in character and they’ve been shared online.

The highly anticipated movie Borderlands, an adaptation of the popular video game, has completed casting and you can see the full cast list here!

Eli Roth is directing the upcoming movie for Lionsgate and Cate Blanchett is starring as the lead role of Lilith.

Roth told Deadline, “I am so excited to work with this incredible, top notch cast. Every single part counts and elevates the film and we have the best of the best coming in to really make Borderlands spectacular. I love movies where every character counts and you can only achieve that with a great cast. Every one of these gifted actors will bring something special to the film.”

The new casting additions including Gina Gershon and Cheyenne Jackson, among others.

Lionsgate has announced that bodybuilder Olivier Ritchers has joined the upcoming Borderlands movie.

According to IGN, the 31-year-old “Dutch Giant” will star as Krom in the video game based movie.

Krom is the terrifying leader of the psycho bandits that rule Pandora.

“Can’t wait to bring Krom alive: leader for the psycho bandits terrorizing Pandora,” Olivier shared the news on his Instagram.

Not much else is known about the movie that will be helmed by Eli Roth, other than its star-studded cast, which includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Haley Bennett, and Jack Black.

Edgar Ramirez is joining the star-studded cast of Borderlands!

The 44-year-old actor will play Atlas in Eli Roth‘s upcoming adaptation of the popular video game series.

In the game, Atlas is a business titan and arms manufacturer, and the most powerful person in the universe.

The cast also includes Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu as Krieg, Jack Black as Claptrap and Haley Bennett as a new character.

“What an incredible honor to have an actor of Edgar’s caliber, talent, and charisma playing opposite Cate Blanchett and this remarkable cast,” Eli said in a statement. “Atlas has to be a truly magnetic personality, someone with charisma and charm but that air of menace underneath it all. I’ve been a fan of Edgar’s since his early performances and he continues to amaze me with each dramatic turn. We want to create something wild, fun, and very different from anything they’ve seen from Edgar before. I am so, so excited to work with him.”

Ariana Greenblatt is taking on an exciting new role!

The 13-year-old Scoob! actress has joined the star-studded cast of Borderlands, a film adaptation of the popular role-playing shooter game directed by Eli Roth, per Variety.

While plot details for the film haven’t been announced, the game takes place on the planet Pandora, a planet rich in natural resources that has been abandoned by a mega-corporation and is overrun by bandits and raiders. Ariana will play Tiny Tina, a teenage explosives expert.

“Ariana is a spectacular new talent in cinema,” Eli said in a statement. “She has already worked with many of my close collaborators and everyone raves about her. She blew us all away in her audition, and I cannot wait to see her bring the wild, insane and unpredictable Tiny Tina to the big screen. She’s going to blow up on screen like one of Tina’s grenades.”

Also starring in the film are Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black and Kevin Hart.
