Eddie Redmayne Spotted on Afternoon Date with Wife Hannah After 'Cabaret' Opens on Broadway

Eddie Redmayne is enjoying some downtime with his wife Hannah after a busy weekend on Broadway!

The Oscar-winning actor just celebrated the official opening of his Cabaret production with twin opening events on Saturday and Sunday. He was spotted on an afternoon date with Hannah on Monday (April 22) in the East Village neighborhood of New York City.

Eddie won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for starring as the Emcee in the Cabaret on London’s West End. He’s now getting some raves for his work in the New York production.

EW writes that Eddie “soaks up the spotlight like it was made for him” and The Daily Beast notes he is “excellent” in the role.

Eddie Redmayne & Gayle Rankin Wear Fashionable Looks for Their Two 'Cabaret' Opening Night Shows

Most Broadway shows only get one opening night performance, but Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club had two this weekend!

Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin showed off their fashionable looks on the red carpet for both of the twin openings on Saturday (April 20) and Sunday (April 21) in New York City.

For Saturday night, Eddie wore a white and blue top with fish graphics paired with oversized black pants while Gayle stunned in a green dress. On Sunday afternoon, Eddie wore a white and black suit while Gayle dressed in all black.

They were joined on the red carpet by co-stars Bebe Neuwirth, Steven Skybell, Ato Blankson-Wood, and Henry Gottfried.

This inventive production of Cabaret, directed by Rebecca Frecknall, is now playing at the August Wilson Theatre. Eddie is reprising his Olivier Award-winning performance from the West End production. Buy your tickets now on SeatGeek.com!

The award-winning actors have been friends for years and grew up in Hollywood together alongside some other famous actors.

While appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Jamie talked about Eddie‘s email getting hacked and a Hollywood legend falling for the scam.

Eddie [Redmayne] got scammed on his email. We all got emails saying, like, ‘Guys, I’m up against it here. I need some cash,’” Jamie said.

'Cabaret' Stars Eddie Redmayne & Gayle Rankin Support Opening Night of Liev Schreiber's Play 'Doubt'

Eddie Redmayne is getting ready for his return to Broadway in Cabaret alongside Gayle Rankin and they took a break from rehearsals to catch the opening night of Doubt: A Parable.

The future co-stars walked the red carpet together at the opening performance on Thursday night (February 29) at the Todd Haimes Theatre in New York City.

Liev Schreiber stars in the play and was joined on the carpet by co-stars Amy Ryan, Zoe Kazan, and Quincy Tyler Bernstine, as well as his wife Taylor Neisen and child Kai.

More stars who supported the opening included Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nathan Lane, Andrea Martin, Victor Garber, and cute couple Michael Zegen and Jennifer Damiano.

Amy recently joined the production with just a few days notice after Tyne Daly had to abruptly drop out of the play due to her health.

Doubt is playing a limited engagement through April 14.
