Ariana Grande is playing the role of Glinda in the upcoming Wicked movies and she beat out a lot of actresses for the coveted part.

Four stars have confirmed that they auditioned to play Glinda in Wicked, though we’re pretty sure there were dozens of others who were up for the role as well.

Director Jon M. Chu just released the official first look at Ariana as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and we also have some amazing photos from set to share with you.

“I think one of the most overlooked facts of the #WickedMovie Casting was that EVERYONE HAD to audition. NO straight offers & they showed up! It was incredibly humbling to witness these actors spill their guts on the floor for this movie,” Jon revealed last year. “Cynthia and Ariana EARNED their roles and brought our little audition room to tears multiple times throughout the process. I can’t believe I had the privilege of witnessing the birth of their Elphaba and Galinda. And one day you will too!!”

Taylor Louderman is starting a family!

The 31-year-old Broadway actress, who received a Tony Award nomination for her performance as Regina George in Mean Girls: The Musical, is pregnant with her first child.

Taylor announced on Instagram this weekend that she is expecting with her husband Brooks Toth. She shared a series of photos of her and Brooks posing with the sonogram photo and their cute pet pooch.

“Been studying for my new role this winter,” Taylor captioned the photo.

Taylor and Brooks met in 2018 at a mutual friend’s birthday party and they got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2019. They had an intimate wedding ceremony in June 2020 with just 25 guests and no reception due to the pandemic.

Taylor Louderman has already made a name for herself on Broadway and now she’s seguing into television!

The 31-year-old actress originated the role of Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls and she also was seen in shows like Kinky Boots and Bring It On! The Musical.

Now, Taylor is a series regular on NBC’s hit comedy series Kenan, playing Kenan’s ambitious co-host Tami Greenlake on his morning show. The second season just finished airing, but you can watch all the episodes now on Peacock!

Taylor Louderman, the Tony-nominated star of the Broadway musical Mean Girls, has tied the knot!

The 29-year-old actress announced on Instagram that she has married her longtime love Brooks Toth.

Taylor shared a photo from her wedding, which happened during the lockdown period. She wore a Mimi’s Couture Bridal dress for the wedding.

“Look at this guy! Look how cool that ring looks on his finger! 🥰,” Taylor captioned the photo. “We got married in the time of corona!!!! And as sad as we were to not have EVERYONE we love there, we so enjoyed a quaint, picture-perfect day. We know how lucky we are and we are so grateful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ love is the best thing on this earth 💕💐 everyone deserves it.”

Taylor and Brooks announced their engagement on Christmas Eve last year and they got married in Jupiter Lighthouse Park in Florida.

Heidi Blickenstaff and co-star Cozi Zuehlsdorff sandwich in Tony-nominated actress Jenn Colella on the red carpet at the Freaky Friday premiere on Monday (July 30) in New York City.

Heidi is a Broadway veteran and she got a lot of support from the theatre community at the premiere!

In addition to Jenn, some of the Broadway stars in attendance included Wicked‘s Julia Murney, Mean Girls‘ Taylor Louderman and Kyle Selig, Frozen‘s Patti Murin and Jelani Alladin, Aladdin‘s James Monroe Iglehart, and Something Rotten‘s John Cariani. Orange Is the New Black actress Dascha Polanco was also there!

The musical adaptation of Freaky Friday will be airing on Disney Channel on Friday, August 10 at 8pm!

The cast of The Spy Who Dumped Me is premiering their movie in New York City!

Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon and Sam Heughan stopped by the premiere on Sunday evening (July 29) at the The Whitby Hotel screening room in the midtown area of New York City.

Also in attendance at the event were co-stars Ivanna Sakhno and Hasan Minhaj, with guests Zosia Mamet, and Mean Girls the musical stars Taylor Louderman, Ashley Park, and Kate Rockwell.

If you missed it, on his way to New York City, Sam was “starstruck” on the airplane because of the celeb he was sitting across from!
