'It's A Sin' Showrunner Confirms Show Will Only Have One Season

It’s A Sin will not be returning for a second season, its’ creator has confirmed.

The series is set in 1981 and centers on Ritchie (Olly Alexander), Roscoe (Omari Douglas) and Colin (Callum Scott Howells) who strangers at first, after leaving home at 18 and heading off to London with hope and ambition and joy and walking straight into a virus that most of the world ignores.

The show crosses a whole decade of their lives, and they change as the mystery of that illness starts as a rumor, then a threat, then a terror, and then something that binds them together in the fight.

Russell T. Davies revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that it will end with just one season.

“There isn’t a second season. It was lovely. It said everything I wanted to say,” he said. “The only long-running thing I’ve ever done is Doctor Who and that’s because Doctor Who is designed to be long running.”

He added that he’s “not quite sure [what's next]. A couple of people have contacted me asking them to mentor them, which I’ve done. I love doing that; both of those shows have been picked up. Strangely, I find myself as a script editor after all this time. I will start writing. I don’t know how I follow something like It’s a Sin. I think I’m just going to write something funny. I look at my career and I’m a bit puzzled on when I became such a tragedian, when I’m a really big laugh actually.”

If you missed it, Olly opened up about the show’s impact.

It’s A Sin is streaming now on HBO Max.

Prince Harry Reveals His Late Mom, Princess Diana, Influenced His Royal Exit

Prince Harry will be opening up about his late mother, Princess Diana, during his sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside wife Meghan Markle.

In a new sneak peek of their first interview since stepping down as senior royals, Harry has revealed that his fear of history repeating itself was a reason for his and Meghan‘s exit.

“For me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side,” he says in the clip, referencing what he might imagine happened with his mom, Diana.

He added, “I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us but at least we had each other.”

Diana died in 1997 after being injured in a Paris car crash while being pursued by paparazzi.

Harry previously spoke about the amount of pressure he and Meghan both felt in an interview with James Corden, which aired just last week.

Harry and Meghan‘s interview will air on March 7 on CBS.

San Diego Comic Con Postpones In Person Event Again & Goes Virtual For 2021

San Diego Comic Con Postpones In Person Event Again & Goes Virtual For 2021

The 2021 San Diego Comic Con is again switching things up for this year.

The event announced their decision to fans on social media on Monday (March 1), as well as plans for the 2022 event.

“While we are buoyed by the rollout of the vaccine and the growing number of individuals being inoculated, it appears that July will still be too early to safely hold an in-person event of the magnitude of Comic-Con,” the organization shared on their website. “For this reason, we have made the challenging decision to postpone Comic-Con 2021 as an in-person gathering until our 2022 dates, and once again hold this year’s celebration as the free online Comic-Con@Home.”

The virtual fan festival will go down to three days from July 23 to the 25.

However, Comic Con has also planned a smaller in-person event in November as well.

“While we lament the postponement of the in-person Comic-Con, our commitment to this community of fans and our celebration of comics and the related popular arts endures as an important part of who we are,” an additional statement starts out. “As the timing and scope of our larger event factored greatly into our decision to postpone, we believe that launching a smaller in-person event at a later time may be a safe alternative. For this reason, we are happy to announce that San Diego Comic Convention is planning to present a three-day in-person convention in San Diego in November. At this time, we are still working on specific details as to attendance capacity, badge cost, and related information, and those details will be forthcoming.”

The event was cancelled for 2020 due to the pandemic.
