Rachel Brosnahan Wants to See Midge Become a Feminist on 'Mrs. Maisel' Season 3
Rachel Brosnahan walks the carpet at the opening night of 2019 PaleyFest on Friday (March 15) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 28-year-old Emmy-winning actress participated in a panel for her series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel with co-stars Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, and Caroline Aaron. Executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino were in attendance as well.
The panel was moderated by Patton Oswalt.
During the panel, Rachel said she’d like to see her character Midge become a feminist in the third season.
“I don’t think Midge is a feminist at this point,” she said. Amy clarified that Midge just doesn’t think she is one, but Rachel responded, “Well I think you have to think you are to be one.”
“If someone were to say the word to Midge, she’d be like ‘Oh I don’t burn my bras’ and I’d like to see her bump up against the very loud and proud ones,” she added (via THR).
FYI: Rachel is wearing a Prada dress.
