Jana Kramer & Bethany Joy Lenz Say 'One Tree Hill' Was A 'Divided Set'

Jana Kramer and Bethany Joy Lenz are opening up about their time on One Tree Hill.

While the former co-stars had mostly positive things to say about the show, which ran from 2003 to 2012, they did express that there was some tension on set.

“It was hard for us because I felt like when we came on the show, just being so honest, it was a very divided set,” Jana said on her podcast, Whine Down With Jana Kramer, where Bethany was a guest.

After Bethany agreed with the sentiment, Jana added, “I feel like everyone already kinda had their places and it was either, ‘You’re going to be on the A-team or the B-team?’ It was just tricky.”

She added that she thinks the division had to do with creator Mark Schwahn, who faced sexual harassment claims from the cast including Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton.

“I think our creator kinda created that environment, as well. I don’t know what he’s doing now. But that was probably the hardest part about [being on the show],” Jana concluded.
