Kerry Washington Was Asked If Olivia Pope Would Ever Moderate a Presidential Debate

Not a lot of people were impressed with Chris Wallace‘s job as moderator during the Presidential debate.

Kerry Washington was one of those people.

“What is happening?! Is there an understudy who can step in and play the role of moderator?! #debates,” the Little Fires Everywhere star first tweeted about his role in the debate, questioning what he was doing.

After her tweet, a fan asked Kerry if Olivia Pope, her Scandal character, would consider moderating one in the future, and she had a great answer.

“There’s not enough wine in the whole wide world!!!!!!!!! #Debates2020″ she answered, adding the exclamation points for emphasis that it wasn’t an option for her character, or even for her..

Kerry did take part in the Democratic National Convention earlier this year as a host during the third night.
