Jane Fonda and Don Johnson are married… in Book Club 2!

The co-stars were spotted filming a wedding scene for their upcoming movie on Thursday (June 23) in the Castello Della Castelluccia outside of Rome, Italy.

Also spotted on set were Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Andy Garcia, and Craig T. Nelson.

The sequel follows “our four best friends as they take their book club to Italy for the fun girls trip they never had. When things go off the rails and secrets are revealed, their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.”

We already knew that Jane‘s character was getting married as she was previously seen wearing a “Bride to Be” sash and veil while filming a different scene.

The remake of Father of the Bride is being released on HBO Max this week and the cast stepped out for a red carpet premiere!

Diego Boneta, Adria Arjona, Gloria Estefan, and Andy Garcia attended the premiere on Tuesday (June 14) in Miami, Fla.

Also in attendance were co-stars Isabela Merced, Chloe Fineman, Casey Thomas Brown, and Ruben Rabasa, as well as director Gary Alazraki and producers Jeremy Kleiner and Paul Perez.

Here is the film’s synopsis: “Billy (Garcia) and Ingrid (Estefan) are surprised when their eldest daughter Sofia (Arjona) comes home to Miami for a visit, announcing a new boyfriend, Adan (Boneta)—who is now her fiancé—and their plans for a wedding and a new life together in Mexico. Family relationships are tested as the roller coaster ride of wedding planning races toward the altar. This sparkling story of a modern rom-com updated from a timeless classic illustrates the surprising and funny ways the heart can adapt in the name of love.

FYI: Isabela is wearing a Dior dress and Stuart Weitzman shoes. Chloe is wearing a CD Greene dress, a Judith Leiber bag, and Jacob & Co. jewelry.

The stars of Father of the Bride are bringing their new movie to Mexico!

Gloria Estefan, Andy Garcia, Adria Arjona, and Diego Boneta posed together on the violet carpet at the latest screening of their new HBO Max on Tuesday (June 7) at Hacienda Los Morales in Mexico City, Mexico.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Pedro Damian and Macarena Achaga along with director Gaz Alazraki.

The movie follows a young woman named Sofia (Arjona) giving her parents Billy (Garcia) and Ingrid (Estefan) quite the surprise when she unexpectedly announces her engagement to her short-term boyfriend Adnan (Boneta).

While trying to get everything done for the wedding, Billy and Ingrid are also planning to tell their family that they will be getting a divorce, which they hope to keep a secret until after the wedding is over.

In a recent interview, Gloria addressed the possibility of joining the cast of this very popular Bravo reality series.

Father of the Bride will be released on HBO Max on June 16. Watch the trailer here!

Adria Arjona gives Andy Garcia a kiss on the cheek at the premiere of their new movie, Father of the Bride, during closing night of the 2022 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival over the weekend.

The on-screen father and daughter duo were joined by co-stars Gloria Estefan, Diego Boneta, Chloe Fineman, and Casey Thomas Brown, and director Gary Alazraki at the event held at TCL Chinese Theatre.

Jon Huertas, Oscar Nunez, Sofia Milos and Edward James Olmos were also at the event to support.

Ahead of the screening, Adria opened up about the kind words Kimberly Williams-Paisley sent to her after the new movie was announced. Kim had previously played the role of the daughter in the 1991 version.

Sophie Turner is rocking the red hair again!

The 25-year-old actress showed off her newly dyed red hair while attending the Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers game with husband Joe Jonas on Sunday afternoon (June 6) at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

This is the first time Sophie has rocked the red hair since filming Game of Thrones and the X-Men movie Dark Phoenix back in 2019.

Gloria Estefan and Andy Garcia were also in attendance at the baseball game. They are currently in Atlanta filming the Father of the Bride remake.

In a recent interview, Joe, 31, said that his relationship with Sophie is heading into “new territory.” Here’s why.

A remake of the classic movie Father of the Bride is in the works!

Andy Garcia is set to star in the upcoming movie, which will focus on a Cuban-American family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie will follow the “father of a soon-to-be bride coming to terms with daughters’ nuptials,” but this version will be told through “the relationships in a big, sprawling Cuban-American family.”

Club de Cuervos‘ Gaz Alazraki will direct the film with a script by Matt Lopez.

Andy said in a statement, “I’m very excited to join The Father of the Bride, a beloved film that has brought so much joy to so many over the years and to represent my Cuban culture and heritage in this story. I commend Warner Bros. for their foresight and celebrate this opportunity they have created.”

The original Father of the Bride movie starred Spencer Tracy and was released in 1950. A beloved remake starring Steve Martin was released in 1991.
