FOX’s A Christmas Story Live! aired on Sunday night (December 17), and nearly all of the performances and memorable moments have been uploaded online to watch!

Highlights include “Count on Christmas,” “It All Comes Down To Christmas,” “The Genius on Cleveland Street,” Mr. Parker opening his fragile box, Ralphie swearing by accident while helping his dad, Ralphie daydreaming his theme’s outcome, and Frank Parker playing “Are You A Genius?”

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE performance from A Christmas Story Live?

Andy Walken is starring in A Christmas Story Live! tonight on Fox in the starring role of Ralphie Parker.

We thought we’d take a moment to highlight the young star so America can get to know him before watching him on screen.

Here’s some fun facts about Andy…

• 1. Over 350 young kids were considered for the role of Ralphie after Telsey and Company had an online search for the role. They were apparently looking for a “regular kid” to take on the iconic role from the Christmas movie
• 2. “If I got this role, it would be the greatest, most awesome Christmas present I’ve ever gotten in my life,” Andy said before landing the role. Andy also told producers he was a big fan of the movie when he auditioned.
• 3. Andy has been interested in acting for a while now. “When I was really young my mom signed me up for a theater camp, where we worked on singing and dancing and performing Peter Pan, and that was when I realized that I wanted to be on stage or on camera all the time,” Andy told Broadway Box.
• 4. He’s learned a lot through this rehearsal process. “I’ve learned so much from the [veteran actors in the production], they’re absolutely amazing to work with. This is my first musical performance, and I’ve learned how to work hard during long days of rehearsals, and try to do my very best, but still how to be relaxed and have fun and take care of my voice all at the same time,” Andy told Broadway Box about the rehearsals.

Fox’s live production of A Christmas Story has cast its Ralphie!

Andy Walken, 11, of Seattle will portray the iconic role made famous by Peter Billingsley in the 1983 holiday classic.

The original film takes place in the 1940s and follows Ralphie as he attempts to convince his parents, his teacher, and Santa that a Red Ryder B.B. gun really is the perfect Christmas gift.

Andy beat out more than 350 applicants.

He joins Maya Rudolph as Ralphie’s mother as well as Matthew Broderick as the narrator.

Oscar and Tony-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write new music for the event.
