B Positive just returned to CBS after a holiday break and the show celebrated by releasing the full three-minute version of the main titles sequence, as performed by series star Annaleigh Ashford!
The Tony-winning actress, who plays Gina in the comedy series, shows off her talents in the video. The new titles sequence debuted during season two to reflect the show’s new direction.
“When we set out to create the new opening titles for B Positive, we knew we wanted to highlight Annaleigh Ashford’s extraordinary Broadway talent,” said executive producers Chuck Lorre, Jim Patterson and Warren Bell. “But when we saw the pure joy leap off the screen watching Annaleigh sing and dance, we knew 20 seconds was not enough, so we filmed enough footage to create a full version of the main titles. This 3-minute version is jubilant, fun and perfectly encapsulates what the second chapter of B Positive is all about – the happiness we get from giving back.”
B Positive stars Annaleigh as as Gina, a hard-partying woman with a checkered past who, on a whim, decided to offer up her kidney to a former high school acquaintance, Drew (Thomas Middleditch), a recently-divorced therapist and single dad undergoing kidney failure. During the process, Gina discovers that the happiness she’d been seeking all along could be found in the form of giving, so upon inheriting a surprise windfall of money from a patient at Valley Hills, the assisted living facility where she works, she decides it’s time to make a big change in a positive direction.
