Arielle Charnas Returns to Instagram Following Backlash for Not Self-Quarantining

Arielle Charnas is back online.

The 33-year-old blogger, who runs the blog Something Navy, returned to Instagram on Friday (April 25) after taking some time off after receiving some serious backlash.

“We missed you guys so much!! Thank you for letting me take time to reflect and be with my family,” Arielle wrote along with a photo of herself with daughters Ruby, 3, and Esme, 1. “It has opened my eyes in so many ways both personally and professionally and it is this growth that I am extremely grateful for. Can’t wait to reconnect with you all – love you guys. 🤍”

Earlier this month, Arielle was slammed online for not self-quarantining after testing positive for the virus. She was spotted out with one of her daughters in the Hamptons, shortly after revealing her diagnosis, instead of taking the advice of doctors to self-quarantine for two weeks.

After the backlash, Arielle posted a video where she said, “I just wanted to come on here and say I’m sorry. I never in a million years wanted to hurt anyone.”

“I am not writing this to make excuses and I am not searching for validation; I want to share the truth behind the story and above all else, express my sincerest remorse,” Arielle said. “I apologize to anyone that I unintentionally harmed in the course of my decision-making.”

“I completely acknowledge I made mistakes throughout this process,” she added. “I followed all of our doctor’s recommendations to a tee, which were also the recommendations put forth by the CDC.”

Arielle said that her family’s symptoms had improved by the time they traveled to the Hamptons and that everyone was without a fever for 72 hours.

“We have since taken every measure to ensure we [do] not and will not come into further contact, six feet apart or otherwise, with any other individual for the foreseeable future,” she said. “Based on the facts available to us right now, as well as throughout our experience in the last several weeks, I’m confident this was the right move to reduce potential spread.”

“Through all of this, I’ve learned that the reality of the career and life path I’ve chosen for myself comes with a powerful responsibility. In times of crisis, opening up about every aspect of your life is hard,” Arielle concluded. “We all make mistakes, including me, especially when a crisis such as this is developing so quickly. My family and I are truly sorry to those we have offended for not appearing to be taking this crisis gravely seriously, and we are committed to making informed, responsible decisions moving forward.”

Amanda Seyfried Apologizes to Influencer Arielle Charnas for Blasting Her Bikini Photo

Amanda Seyfried is apologizing to influencer Arielle Charnas after criticizing her bikini photo.

If you need some backstory, an unnamed friend of Amanda‘s took to Arielle‘s Instagram comments after she posted a photo of her fit body in a bikini after losing her baby weight.

“If you don’t acknowledge how your wealth made your workouts/body possible, you’re just perpetuating the patriarchal (totally unrealistic) notion that mothers should ‘bounce back’ after childbirth, an impossibility for anyone who can’t afford ample childcare (which is almost everyone in this country),” Amanda‘s friend wrote. Amanda supported the comment, but Arielle ended up blocking both of them.

Then, Amanda took to her own Instagram to continue making her point, writing, “If we’re ready to get paid for flaunting our lifestyle (and inspiring some in the meantime) we have to be open to the discussions surrounding what we’re promoting. If you know who you are- take a second to decide if what you’re throwing out there is worth it- in the big picture…INFLUENCE = POWER. And if you’re taking advantage of that – EMPOWER.”

Amanda received some backlash for her response, and posted an apology message to Arielle.
