The NCIS: Origins cast is getting even bigger.

Several more stars have since signed on as series regulars in the cast of the CBS prequel series, which just got a straight-to-series order for the 2024-2025 broadcast season.

Here’s what to expect, via Deadline: executive produced and narrated by Mark Harmon, Origins begins in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS, and chronicles Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ younger years. In the prequel, Gibbs starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NIS Camp Pendleton office where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks.

Catch-22‘s Austin Stowell has landed the lead role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on CBS’ new drama NCIS: Origins. The role is the younger version of the role made famous by Mark Harmon on NCIS!

Mark will have a hand in the show as well, as he will act as narrator. He starred on the original NCIS for the first 19 seasons, eventually exiting in 2021.

Anna Paquin and Colin Hanks sandwich in their co-stars at the premiere of Peacock’s A Friend of the Family in New York City on Wednesday (September 28).

Jake Lacy, Lio Tipton, Hendrix Yancey, Austin Stowell, and showrunner Nick Antosca all joined the two actors at The Metrograph for the premiere event ahead of the show’s October debut on the streaming network.

A Friend of the Family is based on the harrowing true story of the Broberg family, whose daughter Jan was kidnapped multiple times over a period of a few years by a charismatic, obsessed family “friend.”

The Brobergs — devoted to their faith, family, and community — were utterly unprepared for the sophisticated tactics their neighbor used to exploit their vulnerabilities, drive them apart, and turn their daughter against them. This is the story of how their lives were permanently altered — and how they survived.

McKenna Grace will star as the older version of Jan in the series.

The real Jan Broberg was also at the premiere. She also serves as an executive producer on the series.

Netflix is giving fans a first look at their upcoming limited series, Keep Breathing!

The series will star Melissa Barrera, Jeff Wilbusch, Austin Stowell, Juan Pablo Espinosa and Florencia Lozano in the series run by Martin Gero and Brendan Gall.

Here’s a quick summary: After her private plane crashes in the remote Canadian frontier, lone survivor and New York lawyer, Liv (Barrera), must battle both an unforgiving wilderness and past personal traumas to stay alive.

Keep Breathing will be out on Netflix on July 28.

Lucy Hale goes in on a screaming match with Austin Stowell in the new trailer for their movie, The Hating Game.

Based on the best-selling book by Sally Thorne, the movie tells the story of ambitious good girl Lucy Hutton (Hale) pitted against her cold, efficient work nemesis, Joshua Templeton (Stowell), for a huge promotion at publishing company Bexley & Gamin.

Trapped in a shared office, Lucy embarks on a ruthless game of one-upmanship against Josh, a rivalry that turns increasingly complicated by her mounting attraction to him after an innocent elevator ride turns NSFW.

Directed by Peter Hutchings, the film also stars Samon Daunno, Yasha Jackson, Sean Cullen with Sakina Jaffrey and Corbin Bernsen.
