Brie Larson, Natasha Lyonne, & Quinta Brunson Impress at Rodarte's Latest Fashion Show

Brie Larson and Natasha Lyonne pause their lively conversation to pose for a picture inside Rodarte‘s fashion show during New York Fashion Week: The Shows held at Williamsburg Savings Bank on Friday (February 10) in New York City.

The Marvel actress and Poker Face star weren’t the only big celebs in attendance for the event.

Abbott Elementary‘s Quinta Brunson, Lana Condor, Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania actress Kathryn Newton, Beanie Feldstein and fiancée Bonnie Chance Roberts were also there, alongside Maddie Ziegler, Rowan Blanchard, Rachel Zoe, Alexa Chung, singer Charlotte Lawrence, Molly Ringwald, and her actress daughter, Mathilda Gianopoulos.

Following the fashion show, Brie switched up her look into a comfy tee and jeans for a dinner event with the brand at Jac’s On Bond.

Lea Michele is opening up about the drama surrounding the casting for Broadway’s Funny Girl musical.

If you’re unaware, Lea had been rumored as a potential Fanny Brice in Funny Girl for years, especially after performing many of the songs on Glee. When the first-ever Broadway revival of the musical was announced, Beanie Feldstein was announced as the actress playing Fanny.

Beanie didn’t get the best reviews and she ended up announcing that she was leaving the show much earlier than scheduled. The producers then revealed that Lea would be playing Fanny.

Amid the casting controversy, there were rumors about drama happening behind-the-scenes at Funny Girl and the producers even responded to some of the news.

Lea Michele Addresses Past Allegations Against Her, Responds to Rumor She Can't Read

Lea Michele is addressing the allegations against her.

If you don’t remember, back in early June 2020, Lea wrote a tweet to support the Black Lives Matter movement and she said, “George Floyd did not deserve this. This was not an isolated incident and it must end.”

Her former Glee co-star Samantha Ware later responded on Twitter, “LMAO remember when you made my first television gig a living hell?!?! Cause I’ll never forget. I believe you told everyone if [you] had the opportunity you would ‘sh-t in my wig!’ Amongst other traumatic microagressions that made me question a career in Hollywood…”

Samantha later explained the full backstory behind what happened between her, Lea, and the wig story. Lea also issued an apology after Samantha‘s tweet went viral.

Now, as Lea is ready to get back into the spotlight to play Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway, she’s responding to past allegations.

Beanie Feldstein's 'Funny Girl' Co-Star Reveals How She Handled All the Drama

Jared Grimes, the Tony-nominated star of Funny Girl on Broadway, was asked about how his former co-star Beanie Feldstein handled the drama and backlash that came her way during her run as Fanny Brice.

Here’s just some of what happened while Beanie was starring in the show.

When the show opened earlier in 2022, the production didn’t get the best reviews and was almost entirely shut out at the Tony Awards (apart from Jared‘s nomination.)

In June 2022, it was announced that Beanie was leaving the show and that her final performance will be on September 25. However, a month later, Beanie abruptly announced that she was leaving the show earlier than anticipated, and the next day, producers revealed that Lea Michele will become the new Fanny Brice on September 6.

The producers of the Broadway show then spoke out about the drama that ensued. Beanie also explained her decision to step away much earlier than ancitipated.

While on The Broadway Podcast network’s hit show The Art of Kindness, hosted by actor & journalist Robert Peterpaul, Jared was asked about how Beanie handled everything.

Sarah Paulson Was Asked for Her Thoughts on Beanie Feldstein's 'Funny Girl' Drama

Sarah Paulson is close friends with Beanie Feldstein and she was just asked to comment on the drama surrounding her exit from the Broadway revival of Funny Girl.

The two actresses worked together in Ryan Murphy‘s series Impeachment: American Crime Story and now one of Ryan‘s other longtime collaborators, Lea Michele, will be the new Fanny Brice starting Septembr 6.

While appearing on Andy Cohen‘s radio show for SiriusXM, Sarah was asked to share her thoughts on the drama.
