The cast of the new Mean Girls musical movie celebrated the film at a red carpet premiere in the Big Apple, just down the street from where the Broadway show was performed!

Angourie Rice and Renee Rapp were joined by their castmates at the event on Monday night (January 8) at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York City.

Tina Fey and producer Lorne Michaels had a special guest join the cast – the original film’s star Lindsay Lohan!

For those who don’t know, Tina wrote the book for the Broadway musical and she wrote the screenplay for the musical movie as well. She reprises her role as Ms. Norbury in the film.

Other cast members in attendance included Auli’i Cravalho, Christopher Briney, Jaquel Spivey, Bebe Wood, Avantika, Busy Philipps, Jon Hamm with wife Anna Osceola, Mahi Alam, Allison Winn, Brian Altemus, and John El-Jor.

Busy Philipps is sharing the terrifying details of what happened when her 15-year-old daughter Birdie experienced a seizure… while in a different country from her family.

Birdie, who is going by she/her pronouns again, attends boarding school in Sweden and she suffered the medical scare while away from her parents.

Busy was with her ex Marc Silverstein when they learned about the seizure on a FaceTime call with paramedics.

Busy Philipps is a fan of the new song “If I’m Being Honest” by Frankie Bird, and so are we!

The indie pop artist dropped the song last week with an accompanying live performance video and then Busy shared a video of herself dancing to the song while wearing a bikini.

“‘If I’m Being Honest’ is an empowering song about the release of all the pent up frustration I had at the end of my twenties as I reflected on who I had been surrounding myself with and who I wanted to let in moving forward,” Frankie said in a statement. “It’s a cathartic anthem about finally knowing your worth and not letting people walk all over you anymore. I was done letting that be my narrative and needed to write a ‘scream sing in the car kind of song’ to let it all go. This song helped me realize the right kind of friendships, relationships, and self love I deserved to have moving forward.”

The first trailer for Mean Girls the musical is finally here!

Here’s the synopsis: New student Cady Heron (Angourie Rice) is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called “The Plastics,” ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George (Reneé Rapp) and her minions Gretchen (Bebe Wood) and Karen (Avantika). However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels (Christopher Briney), she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis (Auli’i Cravalho) and Damian (Jaquel Spivey), she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.
