Connie Britton and Malin Akerman both arrive in style for the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (February 9) at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 52-year-old Friday Night Lights actress donned a black dress with a plunging neckline while the 41-year-old Watchmen actress wore a white dress with black detailing for the party.

Anne Hathaway, Matthew McConaughey, and Diane Lane walk the red carpet at The Cinema Society’s screening of Serenity on Wednesday (January 23) at the MoMa in New York City.

The three actors were also joined by their young co-star Rafael Sayegh. Matthew‘s wife Camila Alves was also in attendance.

Serenity hits theaters this weekend and the actors have said that the movie is a hard one to explain, but that if you like mysteries and thrillers, it’s a movie for you.

Jason Clarke and Djimon Hounsou also star in the film.

The 34-year-old actress and Susan, 37, were joined by their This Is Us co-star Chrissy Metz, as well as Diane Lane, Rita Wilson, Kyra Sedgwick, Marcia Gay Harden, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Christina Ricci, Whitney Cummings, Brian Tyree Henry and director Steve McQueen.

At the annual star-studded event, Viola Davis was honored with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award and Nina Jacobson was the Equity in Entertainment Award honoree.

The latest trailer for Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway‘s upcoming movie Serenity is out – and it’s so eerie!

Here is a synopsis: Baker Dill (McConaughey) is a fishing boat captain leading tours off a tranquil, tropical enclave called Plymouth Island. His quiet life is shattered, however, when his ex-wife Karen (Hathaway) tracks him down with a desperate plea for help. She begs Dill to save her – and their young son – from her new, violent husband (Clarke) by taking him out to sea on a fishing excursion, only to throw him to the sharks and leave him for dead. Karen’s appearance thrusts Dill back into a life he’d tried to forget, and as he struggles between right and wrong, his world is plunged into a new reality that may not be all that it seems.

Also starring in the movie, written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Steven Knight, are Diane Lane, Djimon Hounsou, Jason Clarke, and Jeremy Strong.

Serenity hits theaters on January 25.
