Doja Cat is speaking up to her fans after delivering what she seemingly viewed as a subpar performance.
The 28-year-old “Say So” superstar took the stage on Thursday night (November 30) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for a stop on her The Scarlet Tour.
Afterwards, she took to social media to issue an apology to the fans and offer an explanation.

Doja Cat is defending herself against blackface accusations after teasing a new project.
The 28-year-old rapper and singer posted a teaser video featuring a normal version of herself as well as her Scarlet alter ego, which is her covered in fake blood. (Scarlet is her latest album.)
Some people online mistook the blood for blackface, and Doja had a very blunt response to their comments.

Doja Cat is officially on the road with The Scarlet Tour!
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off the tour with a sold-out performance on Halloween night on Tuesday (October 31) at the Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif.
Doja played fan-favorite songs like “Paint the Town Red,” “Attention,” and “Kiss Me More” throughout the show. Rapper and singer Doechii opened the show.
The 24-date tour continues in Los Angeles before making stops in Las Vegas, Austin, Miami, Brooklyn, Toronto and more ahead of wrapping up on Wednesday, December 13 in Chicago at United Center.

Doja Cat‘s latest fashion choice is really upsetting some fans.
On Friday (October 6), the 27-year-old “Say So” singer took to Instagram to share several selfies while sitting in a car.
In the photos, Doja is wearing a shirt of controversial comic Sam Hyde holding up what appears to be a military-grade rifle. Hyde reportedly has ties to the neo-Nazi movement and he has created a following consisting of white nationalists, misogynists and anti-Semites.
After she shared the photos, many took to social media to slam Doja for wearing the shirt.
