Earlier today, it was revealed that Elliot Page and Emma Portner are divorcing. Now, they have released a statement and actually revealed that they have been separated since the summer of 2020.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer,” the 33-year-old Juno star and 26-year-old dancer said in a statement (via THR). “We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.”

Elliot filed for divorce on Tuesday (January 26) in the Manhattan Supreme Court.

Elliot came out as transgender in December of 2020. At the time, Emma showed her support for Elliott with this supportive comment, despite the fact that they were already separated at the time.

The pair officially announced their marriage in January of 2018.

The 33-year-old Juno star, who recently came out as trans, filed for divorce from wife Emma on Tuesday (January 26) in Manhattan Supreme Court, Page Six reported.

The divorce news comes three years after the two got married back in January of 2018.

Elliot just recently opened up about the decision to come out as transgender on social media: “I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self. I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place. I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society.”

Emma recently wrote in support of Elliot: “Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world. I also ask for patience & privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day. Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much.”

All of these couples also just split recently.

Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page came out as transgender on Tuesday (December 1) and now, Elliot‘s spouse Emma Portner is publicly showing support.

Emma, who is a professional dancer and choreographer, reposted Elliot‘s statement on Instagram.

Emma captioned the statement with her own statement which reads, “I am so proud of @elliotpage. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world. I also ask for patience & privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day. Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Emma and Elliot got married back in 2018.

Emma Portner, a dancer and choreographer who worked with Justin Bieber on his Purpose tour, has issued a statement slamming him.

“@justinbieber I regret working under your name.I gave your universe my naive body, creativity, time, and effort. Twice. For content that you made millions off of. While I made zilch. Natta. Barely anything. Less than minimum wage for the hours I invested. I couldn’t afford to eat,” Emma, who is married to actress Ellen Page, wrote in a statement on Instagram Story.

“The way you degrade women is an abomination. You continue to collaborate with overly problematic people. You religiously go to a church that does not support the LGBTQ+ community,” Emma continued. “You have IMMENSE power. Use it to STOP DEGRADING WOMEN. We should all be ‘checking on you’ and Chris Brown because you both need to be held accountable.”

While Emma‘s statement does not mention Taylor Swift, one could assume that Emma might be referring to his statement he released aimed at Taylor‘s controversy with Scooter Braun.

Ellen Page was joined by her wife Emma Portner at the premiere of Tales of the City!

The 32-year-old actress hit the carpet at the event on Monday night (June 3) at Build Studio in New York City.

She was joined by her co-stars Charlie Barnett, Laura Linney, Alan Poul, Zosia Mamet and Lauren Morelli.

Other attendees included cast mates Murray Bartlett, Olympia Dukakis, May Hong and Ashley Park.

The upcoming series is based on the books by Armistead Maupin and follows Mary Ann as she returns to present-day San Francisco and reunites with her daughter and ex-husband, twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career.

Mary Ann is quickly drawn back into the orbit of her chosen family and a new generation of queer young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane.

Ellen Page is celebrating one year of marriage to wife Emma Portner!

The 31-year-old actress posted a sweet note on her Instagram on Tuesday (January 8) dedicated to her wife after the two got married in the beginning of January 2018.

Ellen Page shares a sweet kiss with her wife Emma Portner while attending the special screening of her latest film The Cured held at AMC Dine-In Sunset 5 on Tuesday (February 20) in Los Angeles.

Ellen – who turns 31 today (February 21) – was also accompanied by the film’s director David Freyne as they promoted the thriller, which is set to hit theaters on Friday.

Ellen and Emma announced that they officially tied the knot in January via Instagram.
