Taylor Swift Returns to Number One on Billboard Album Chart!

Taylor Swift is back at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart!

The 31-year-old singer’s ninth studio album Evermore is currently the top album in the nation after earning 56,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week ending January 7.

This is Evermore‘s third week at number one. It spent its first two weeks on top of the chart and went to number two last week when Playboi Carti‘s new album Whole Lotta Red debuted at number one.

Taylor has now spent 51 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, which puts her in a tie for fourth place for the most weeks on top of the chart.

The only artists with more weeks are The Beatles with 132 weeks, Elvis Presley with 67 weeks, and Garth Brooks with 52 weeks.

People came up with a theory that Evermore is about a TV show and the star of that show just spoke out about the theory.

Taylor Swift Has Two New Songs Streaming Now on 'Evermore' Deluxe Album - Listen Here!

Taylor Swift has released the deluxe version of her album Evermore on streaming services and you can now listen to two new songs online!

The 31-year-old singer previously dropped the album as a surprise to fans on December 11 and it was an instant success. It was also her second surprise album of the year!

Taylor Swift's 'evermore' Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200

Taylor Swift is number 1 once again!

For the second week in a row, the 31-year-old singer’s new album evermore is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as of Sunday (December 27).

evermore earned 169,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending on December 24.

The album – released back on Friday, December 11 – debuted at No. 1 last week, earning 329,000 units at the time. The album also helped Taylor make tons of more music history!

evermore marks Taylor‘s eight No. 1 album, and her second No. 1 album of 2020 following folklore, the album’s companion released earlier this year.

It’s a big week for Taylor Swift!

The 31-year-old singer’s new album Evermore already debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart and now it has been announced that her song “Willow” just debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

Taylor is the first person to ever debut a song and an album at number one in the same week… twice!

Earlier this year, Taylor‘s album Folklore and her song “Cardigan” made their debuts at number one in the same week. The only other act to achieve the feat is BTS, who did it this month.

Taylor reacted to the news on Twitter by saying, “Guys. Seriously. Thank you for doing this.”

Taylor Swift's Initial 'Evermore' Sales Numbers Revealed, On Track for Number One Debut

The initial sales figures for Taylor Swift‘s ninth studio album are in!

The 30-year-old singer dropped her new album Evermore on Friday (December 11), marking her second surprise album drop of the year.

Hits Daily Double is reporting that the album is on track to move between 300,000 to 350,000 total units for its first week of release. That number includes 150,000 to 170,000 copies of pure album sales.

In comparison, Folklore opened with 846,000 units for the first week with 615,000 pure album sales. The Evermore numbers are still very early predictions and the total could still go up or down depending on how the next few days go.

Whatever happens, it’s pretty clear that Taylor is on track to earning her eighth number one album!

Kid Cudi‘s new album will likely debut in the number two slot this coming week with around 150,000 to 175,000 total units.

Taylor Swift's First TV Interview for 'Evermore' Has Been Scheduled!

Taylor Swift will be on TV to talk about her new album Evermore in just a couple days from now!

The 30-year-old actress, who is celebrating her 31st birthday this weekend, will be interviewed on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday (December 14).

The news was confirmed for the show’s official Twitter account on Saturday morning. They responded to Taylor‘s tweet about giving her fans a gift for her birthday and said, “Thank you @TaylorSwift13! We can’t wait to see you on #Kimmel MONDAY NIGHT! #Evermore.”

Taylor‘s longtime publicist Tree Paine tweeted out the news as well. She wrote, “Interview on Monday!”

There are definitely a lot of burning questions on the minds of Taylor‘s fans right now that they want answered, including the inspiration for some of the songs on Evermore. Perhaps she’ll also address all of the rumors that she is married or that a third 2020 album is on the way!
