Taylor Swift Confirms She Really Did Send a Baby Gift to Her Ex

Taylor Swift revealed some insight into the making of her album Folklore in her new film that’s streaming now on Disney+.

In the special, the 30-year-old singer opened up about the song “Invisible String,” which is Track 11 on the album.

In the song, Taylor sings, “cold was the steel of my axe to grind for the boys who broke my heart, now I buy their babies presents.”

Talking with co-writer Aaron Dessner, she shared, “I remember I wrote it right after I sent an ex a baby gift. [Laughs] I was just like, ‘Man, life is great. This is a full signifier that life is great.’”

Lots of fans have speculated that the ex-boyfriend is Joe Jonas, who recently welcomed his first child with wife Sophie Turner.

Joe and Sophie‘s daughter Willa was actually born just two days before Folklore was released!

In the special, Taylor also confirmed the identity of her secret songwriter on the album.

Taylor Swift‘s latest album is making history!

As Folklore returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the eighth week, the album has also become the first album to sell a million copies in the United States in 2020, THR reports.

The 30-year-old entertainer’s album sold another 57,000 copies in the U.S. for the week ending on October 22, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Folklore‘s total album sales has now jumped to 1.038 million, making it the first album to sell a million copies in 2020.

Taylor first released Folklore back on July 24, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Taylor‘s last album Lover – released on August 23, 2019 – was the only album to sell a million copies in 2019.

Late last month, Taylor dethroned this music icon for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Taylor Swift Reacts to Idea of 'Last Great American Dynasty' Movie Starring Her Friends

A fan has come up with an idea for a movie based on the song “The Last Great American Dynasty” and Taylor Swift is totally on board!

The fan thinks that Taylor‘s friends Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson should star in the film and it sounds like they’re all loving they idea as well.

“The Last Great American Dynasty would make an incredible movie. The story is timeless yet unique, the music would be exquisite, and it already has the perfect title. As for the cast: Blake Lively (Rebekah), Ryan Reynolds (Bill), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (neighbor),” the fan tweeted.

Jesse was the first one to see the tweet and he retweeted it with the message, “Ok I’m avail for this.”

Ryan replied to Jesse and said, “But Bill’s heart… ?”

Taylor just saw the tweets and she is loving the idea.

Taylor Swift Breaks Billboard Record By Debuting at No. 1 with Both 'Folklore' & 'Cardigan'

Taylor Swift is making music history with her new album Folklore!

The 30-year-old singer debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart with Folklore and now it has been announced that the lead single “Cardigan” has debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Taylor is the first artist to ever debut at number one on both of these charts!

“Cardigan” is Taylor‘s second song to debut at number one following 2014′s “Shake It Off.” Only seven other artists have had multiple songs debut at number one. The song is also Taylor‘s sixth song to reach the top of the Hot 100.

Two other songs from Folklore have debuted in the Top 10 of the Hot 100. “The 1″ debuted at number four while “Exile” featuring Bon Iver debuted at number six. She’s the first artist to debut three songs in the top six spots of the Hot 100 in a single week.

Taylor now has more Hot 100 entries than any other female artist with 113 total entries. The only artists to have more are Drake with 224, the Glee cast with 207, and Lil Wayne with 169.

“Cardigan” sold 71,000 copies in its first week and was streamed 34 million times. It debuted at number one on both the Top Digital Song Sales and Top Streaming Songs charts!

Cara Delevingne and Kaia Gerber are the latest celebs to post a selfie while wearing one of Taylor Swift‘s special cardigans!

Taylor Swift Responds to Superfan Who Didn't Get to Hear 'Folklore' Until Today!

One of Taylor Swift‘s biggest fans was away at camp for the past two weeks and told her fellow Swifties to send her DMs if anything big happened during that time.

Well, as well know now, Taylor dropped a surprise album last week and people are praising it as her career-defining album.

The fan, named Delphine, found out on Thursday (July 30) that she went viral after arriving back from camp… and Taylor even responded.

“so i see i went viral while i didn’t have my phone 😭😭😭 i can’t believe miss swift really dropped a wholeass album anyway i’m gonna listen to it now,” Delphine tweeted.

Taylor responded, “Welcome back from your trip! We are all somber woodland fairies now. Feel free to grab a wicker basket and join us!”

Taylor Swift Totally Misled Fans with This Post on the Day She Wrote 'Cardigan'

Taylor Swift just revealed the exact date that she wrote her new single “Cardigan” and she happened to have posted to Instagram that day.

The 30-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday (July 27) to thank fans for supporting her new album Folklore and announce a limited edition “Cardigan” single collection.

Taylor says the new edition of the single “has the original voice memo I sent Aaron for the song on April 27, 2020 (alternate lyrics included.)”

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Taylor posted this selfie to her Instagram account on April 27 along with the caption, “Not a lot going on at the moment.”

Seems like Taylor actually had a lot going on at that moment, though it was all kept a secret until the surprise release of Folklore last week!
