'Frozen 2' Continues to Have a Record-Breaking Run at the Box Office Over Thanksgiving!

Frozen 2 is continuing its box office domination!

The animated sequel to the beloved 2013 Disney film raked in an additional $23.78 million on Wednesday (November 27), beating out Hunger Games: Catching Fire to become the best Wednesday before Thanksgiving of all time, according to Deadline on Thursday (November 28).

Only Despicable Me 2 logged a higher animated Wednesday, pulling in $35 million back in July of 2013. It also notched the second best Wednesday for the month of November after Matrix Revolutions opening day back in 2003 with $24.3 million.

And there could be more record-breaking to come: “Business happens tonight after everyone eats. Catching Fire still has the best Thanksgiving Day record with $14.95M per Comscore. Given Frozen 2‘s momentum in outstripping various daily B.O. records, no doubt it will score another high day today,” Deadline reports.
