Adam Brody Reunites With 'Gilmore Girls' Co-Star Keiko Agena To Talk Voting

It was a Gilmore Girls reunion for Adam Brody and Keiko Agena this week.

The former co-stars and on-screen couple reunited on Instagram Live to discuss the ways in which they’re getting involved ahead of the November presidential election.

Adam and Keiko teamed up with Vote Forward, in which volunteers send handwritten letters to unregistered and low-propensity voters encouraging them to participate in our democracy.

“You know, lately it’s been this constant dichotomy of enjoying my life and also freaking out and pulling my hair over the state affairs of the world and our country right now, and kind of trying to do both,” Adam shared as he caught up with Keiko.

“I feel the same,” she added. “I feel like there’s so much that I have to be really, truly grateful for, and then I flip with stress and worry and concern and care and passion for where we are.”

While Keiko admitted she had written over 900 letters, Adam admitted he was brand new to the letter writing game. He also spoke about his involvement with Swing Left in the 2016 election.

“For that one I knocked on some doors in Orange County — everything I do has to be TV-related,” he said with a laugh. “To my knowledge, only one person recognized me [from The O.C.].”

Adam called back to the way his character Dave knocked on Lane’s door in the iconic WB show.

The 54-year-old Gilmore Girls creator and husband Daniel Palladino tuned in for the virtual 2020 Emmy Awards ceremony on Sunday night (September 20) – and fans were quick to notice that the outside sign from the Dragonfly Inn was hanging in the background of the shot.

As Gilmore Girls fans can remember, the Dragonfly Inn was the name of the inn ran and and owned by Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham).

Amy was only nominated for one category tonight – Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series for her show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. In total, the show was nominated six awards, however, Schitt’s Creek swept all seven awards in the Comedy categories.

Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons, from 2000 to 2007.

Melissa McCarthy & Kelly Clarkson Battle It Out In 'Gilmore Girls' Trivia

Melissa McCarthy is testing out her Gilmore Girls knowledge on The Kelly Clarkson Show – and she’s actually not too bad!

The 49-year-old actress starred as Sookie St. James on Gilmore Girls from 2000-2007, and in a trivia battle with Kelly Clarkson remembered more than we probably could about the WB series.

She was quizzed on the Gilmore’s Friday night dinners, Luke’s Diner and even how Rory broke her arm.

Melissa also revealed a behind the scenes story about Jackson’s proposal to Sookie.

“Fun fact: That was supposed to be at noon, and we shot at like one o’clock in the morning. So we were juts under like crazy klieg lights trying to make it look like daylight. So we couldn’t really look at each other because it was so bright,” she shared with Kelly.

Milo Ventimiglia Reveals If Gilmore Girls' Rory Should Have Ended Up with Jess, Dean, or Logan!

Milo Ventimiglia is weighing in on who he thinks Rory Gilmore should have ended up with on the Gilmore Girls!

If you don’t know, Milo famously played the role of Jess on the hit series. Rory never ended up with any of her three leading men (played also by Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry.)

During a question and answer session with Buzzfeed, a fan asked, “Who do you think Rory should have ended up with: Dean, Jess, or Logan?”

“None of the above,” Milo answered. “They’re from the past. Rory needs to move on, forever, in life!”

If you don’t know, at the end of the Gilmore Girls reboot on Netflix, Rory (played by Alexis Bledel) found out she was pregnant! Milo previously spoke to the theory if Jess could be the father of the baby!

Milo Ventimiglia Says Jess Was Good For Rory on 'Gilmore Girls'

Milo Ventimiglia was a big fan of his Gilmore Girls character Jess, just like the rest of us.

The 39-year-old This Is Us star still gets approached by fans who loved Jess and his relationship with Rory.

“Still to this day, you know, it blows me away—the impact of the Jess character, how much everyone was in love with him and wanted to find a guy like Jess..” Milo told W magazine. “He was kind of trouble, you know.”

Still, Milo had a lot of positive things to say about him too.

“He had good hair. He had that pompadour thing going, and he had dope jackets, and he always had a book in his back pocket,” Milo added. “And I feel like, well, if you got that hair and you got a cool jacket and you got a book in your pocket, you must be good for a girl.”

Gilmore Girls ran from 200-2007 on The WB.

Lauren Graham & Alexis Bledel Talk More 'Gilmore Girls'

Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel aren’t so sure we’ll see any more Gilmore Girls in the future.

The on-screen mother-daughter duo was asked about the possibility considering the success of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and it sounds like it’s very dependent on what the story would be.

“If it all existed in a vacuum, I would play that character until my dying day… Now it’s become what could we do with this story that is satisfying, that is worth continuing,” Lauren told TVLine.com. “I don’t know if there is a need to do more. I wouldn’t want it to feel like we overstayed our welcome.”

Alexis told the site that it comes down to “what story we’re telling… I’m just interested in telling a story that is dynamic and that I can hook into.”
