Donald Sutherland finds a way to communicate from beyond the grave in the newly released trailer for Netflix’s Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.

The 87-year-old Forsaken star appears in the thriller, which is based on a short story by Stephen King, alongside the likes of Jaeden Martell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Joe Tippett, Colin O’Brien, Cyrus Arnold, Thomas Francis Murphy and Peggy J. Scott.

Here’s a synopsis: When Craig, a young boy living in a small town (Martell) befriends Mr. Harrigan, an older, reclusive billionaire (Sutherland), the two begin to form an unlikely bond over their love of books and reading. But when Mr. Harrigan sadly passes away, Craig discovers that not everything is dead and gone and strangely finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone in this supernatural coming-of-age story that shows that certain connections are never lost.

Netflix just released the first look at their upcoming new movie Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.

Based on a short story by Stephen King, it was directed and written by John Lee Hancock and produced by Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum and Carla Hacken.

Sara Bareilles has been dating actor Joe Tippett for more than five years and he got a lot of mentions during her new interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The Grammy-winning singer appeared on the late night show on Friday (June 17) to talk about her Peacock series Girls5eva and her upcoming Broadway production of Into the Woods.

Sara also opened up about going to Finland at the beginning of the year with Joe. He then became a running joke throughout the interview!

The ladies of Girls5Eva step out for the second season premiere of the show held in New York City on Sunday night (May 1).

Sara Bareilles, Paula Pell, Renee Elise Goldsberry, and Busy Phillips were joined by showrunner Meredith Scardino at the event, kicking off the brand new episodes coming to Peacock.

Jeremiah Craft, Tina Fey and husband Jeff Richmond, who are executive producers on the series, as well as Peacock President Kelly Campbell were also at the event.

Sara and Renee‘s partners, Joe Tippett and Alexis Johnson also stepped out to support the show.

If you’re unfamiliar, Girls5Eva follows a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90’s who get sampled by a young rapper, inspiring its members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot.

Many of Broadway’s biggest stars gathered in Times Square on Sunday (November 28) to honor the life and legacy of late composer Stephen Sondheim, two days after his death.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sara Bareilles and boyfriend Joe Tippett, Josh Groban, Laura Benanti, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and many more performers gathered on the iconic red steps in Duffy Square to perform the song “Sunday” from the Sondheim musical Sunday in the Park with George.

The event was produced by Erich Bergen, who just wrapped his third stint in the Broadway musical Waitress, and conducted by Michael J. Moritz.

More participants included Raul Esparaza, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Wilson Cruz, Brandon Uranowitz, Judy Kuhn, Hadestown stars Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada, Jagged Little Pill stars Lauren Patten, Kathryn Gallagher, Morgan Dudley, and Heidi Blickenstaff, Six‘s Abby Mueller, Gossip Girl‘s Adam Chanler-Berat and Tavi Gevinson (who are both currently in the Assassins revival Off-Broadway), and Diana‘s Roe Hartrampf and Erin Davie.

Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett are such a cute couple!

The 41-year-old Grammy-winning singer and the 39-year-old actor posed for photos on the red carpet at the Let’s Get This Show on the Street event on Saturday (June 5) in New York City’s Times Square.

The event was held on 42nd Street to celebrate arts educators with an outdoor celebration. Sara performed at the concert and Joe shared a photo of her on stage with In The Heights‘ Anthony Ramos‘ billboard seen above her.

“I understand that @ARamosofficial is the new Patron Saint of Broadway watching over us…” Joe tweeted.

For those who don’t know, Joe played the role of John Ross on the hit HBO series Mare of Easttown and a huge reveal about his character was one of the big moments of the finale.

Sara and Joe have been dating for years after meeting while working on the Broadway musical Waitress. She wrote the show and he was one of the original cast members in the pre-Broadway run.

Sara Bareilles is loving her boyfriend Joe Tippett‘s new series Mare of Easttown!

For those that don’t know, Joe plays the character John Ross on the new series. He is the husband of Mare’s best friend Lori.

Three episodes of the series have aired so far and Sara took to her Instagram Stories to rave about the show, which is getting great reviews from both fans and critics.

“Joe – I am legitimately obsessed with Mare of Easttown on HBO and I don’t care who *knows it (*said with the DelCo ‘O’),” Sara wrote in the post.

Mare of Easttown is about a detective (Kate Winslet) in a small Pennsylvania town who investigates a local murder while trying to keep her life from falling apart. The show airs on Sunday nights on HBO and HBO Max.

You might also recognize Joe from his roles on the NBC series Rise, the Hulu limited series The Act, the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, and the Lifetime movie Patsy & Loretta.
