Ross Mathews has announced that he’s engaged!

The 41-year-old TV personality did not give his fiance’s full name, but did identify him as Dr. García in the post on social media.

“Fiancé, you stay! 💍 I am so proud to announce that after over a year together – navigating a pandemic, quarantine and opposite coasts – the smartest, funniest and kindest man I’ve ever met said, ‘Yes!’ Dr. García, I love you. A lifetime of adventure awaits,” Ross captioned the announcement on social media.

Ross recently revealed that he lost 50 pounds during quarantine!

The 41-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race judge took to Instagram on Sunday (November 29) to reveal that he’s lost 50lbs over the last five months after deciding to focus on his health following his mom’s death in May.

“Breaking the pattern. 50lbs down today from my height in early June when I decided to reclaim my health after my mom died (70lbs down from my all-time),” Ross wrote along with the below pic. “I will always be a work in progress. I may mess up again. I dunno. All I know is that I’m very grateful. And very happy. 🥰 On we go… ❤️”

Ross isn’t the only star that has been focusing on their health during the pandemic. Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur also revealed that she lost 50lbs after being considered “high risk” for COVID-19.

RuPaul happily hits the red carpet with his little co-star Izzy G. while attending the season one premiere of their new Netflix series AJ & The Queen held at the Egyptian Theatre on Thursday (January 9) in Hollywood.

The drag queen superstar and Izzy were joined at the event by Sex and the City‘s Kristin Davis, Whitney Cummings, Ross Mathews, Michelle Visage, Este Haim, Kalen Allen, Gigi Gorgeous, Tatiana Maslany and Jonathan Bennett as they all came out to show their support.

Also in attendance were the other stars of the series Michael-Leon Wooley, Tia Carrere, Katerina Tannenbaum, Matthew Wilkas, showrunner Michael Patrick King and drag queens Shangela, Ginger Minj, Eureka, Mayhem Miller, Mariah Balenciaga, Valentina, Ongina, Monique Heart, Pandora Boxx, Trinity The Tuck, Latrice Royale and Jaymes Mansfield.

Here’s what the 39-year-old comedian shared with the mag:

On how US network executives are still wary of putting flamboyant gay men on TV: “Hollywood has been a wonderful and accepting place; California is a great place to live if you are a flamboyant gay person. But I do think that TV executives are still a little wary of putting really flamboyant gay men on television — we’ve still got a long way to go. Just look at the landscape of TV. If I were able to tone it down a bit, maybe I’d be more successful than I am. But I just am not equipped with that ability [laughs].”

On why he recently called time on his 10-year relationship: “I feel Salvador will always be family, but the intimacy had run its course. It was a beautiful 10 years but it had a beginning, a middle and it had an end. We both kind of felt that if we didn’t wrap it up then, it would feel like a steak that had been on the grill for too long. It would just get tough.”

On dating again and embracing being 40: “I’m fascinated by how many interesting people there are in the world. I know it sounds stupid but I have never done this active dating thing and I’m shocked at the calibre of people I’ve been meeting. I think that has to do with confidence because let’s be frank here, I do not have a six pack, unless it’s a six pack of wine coolers.”

RuPaul is all smiles as he steps out for the RuPaul’s Drag Race Panel at the 2019 PaleyFest on Sunday afternoon (March 17) at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

The 58-year-old host of the reality competition series looked so handsome in a blush-colored suit as he attended the panel with fellow judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews and panel host Aisha Tyler.

“We get to show the world the coping skills of queer people,” RuPaul said during the panel. “We all come from broken places — society has pushed us to the side and there are deep feelings there…every kid sees there’s a tribe out there waiting for them with open arms.”
