Lake Bell and her husband Scott Campbell are separating after seven years of marriage.

The 41-year-old actress and 43-year-old famed tattoo artist released a statement on her Instagram account which reads, “After 9 years together, 7 years married, 2 sparkling children, Scott and I are ending our marriage but continuing our loving family.”

The statement continued, “With respect and thoughtful guidance, we will continue to be parental comrades in arms and best friends for all of our days.”

The pair met in 2011 on the set of How to Make It In America. They married two years later.

Lake and Scott are parents to daughter Nova, 6, and son Ozgood, 3.

Lake just revealed some upsetting news about their daughter. We hope things are okay with Nova!

Lake Bell and her husband Scott Campbell’s 5-year-old daughter Nova has epilepsy, she just revealed.

“My daughter has epilepsy,” Lake posted on her Instagram. “It’s taken me a few months to gather the courage to post about it because I do not want to endorse it’s existence.”

She continued, “I also didn’t know why I should share it. Why tell a bunch of strangers? however in a time where we are so isolated I crave community. We all do. We want to be reminded we are not alone in any reality. And above all, I am grateful… Grateful to have a partner in @scottcampbell who, with his research and smarts, is giving these seizures a worthy adversary.”

Lake added, “Scott and I, along with the care of the incomparable @childrensla, will conquer them. For Nova… so she doesn’t have to cry in fear after she gets sucked into one. They are like invaders, that come on without invitation nor warning. We will fight for Nova. For her future. For tomorrow. For today. It’s a beginning of a long journey and I want/need to remember that I am not alone. And if you are dealing with a loved one with epilepsy, I get it… You are not alone.”

Our thoughts are with the family during this time and we hope a cure is found.

The 49-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star was in attendance at Save The Children’s Centennial Celebration: Once In a Lifetime event on Wednesday evening (October 2) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 40-year-old Bless This Mess actress made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday (September 18).

“He’s like a bonafide apocalypse prepper…very, very committed. He has a ham radio station,” she explained of Scott‘s plans.

She also talked about living in LA, her show Bless This Mess, working with Dax Shepard, and her love of the writers’ room.
