Leona Lewis Releases 'Solo Quiero (Somebody to Love)' from 'Songland' - Listen Now!

The 34-year-old singer made an appearance on Wednesday night’s (August 28) episode of the hit songwriting competition show where she chose contestant Rozee‘s song “Solo Quiero (Somebody to Love)” to record.

Rozee
described herself as an “emotional writer” presented “Fighting for Us” which coach Ryan Tedder turned into an unrecognizable Latin banger titled “Solo Quiero (Somebody to Love)” for Leona to record.

“Do you know how excited I am?!” Rozee exclaimed upon hearing the revised track.

Once Rozee presented the new song, Leona fell in love with it and said she connected with the song because it goes back to her Caribbean roots.

“It excited me,” Leona told Rozee. “I grew up on this.”

John Legend Debuts New Single 'We Need Love' After 'Songland' Premiere - Watch the Video!

John Legend was the first artist to appear as a guest on NBC’s new music competition series Songland and he just debuted the winning song from his episode!

The episode began with four emerging songwriters presenting their songs to John and the three panelists – Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean, and Shane McAnally.

John chose three of the songwriters to workshop songs with the panelists and then they presented the finished songs to him at the end.

The song that John chose at the end was “We Need Love” by Tebby Burrows and produced by Shane.

NBC's 'Songland' - Meet the Judges for 2019's Season One!

The brand new music competition series Songland is premiering on NBC tonight (May 28) and we’re taking a minute to introduce you to the judges.

The new series will help undiscovered songwriters pitch their original songs to some of the world’s top recording artists.

The 11-episode series is an authentic peek into the creative process of songwriting and provides one talented winner per episode with the opportunity to have their song recorded and released worldwide by chart-topping artists.

The three judges have all written music that you have definitely heard in the past and they’ll be joined each week by a guest artist. The series airs on Tuesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
