Laura Lynch, Founding Member of The Chicks, Dies at 65 in Car Crash

Laura Lynch, one of the founding members of the country music band The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), has sadly passed away at the age of 65.

The upright bass player died in a car crash on Friday in West Texas. CBS News confirmed the sad news with her cousin.

In the aftermath, The Chicks took to social media to pay tribute to Laura.

The best-selling group was scheduled to perform on their The Chicks Tour on Thursday (July 27) in Nashville, Tenn., but have been forced to postpone due to illness.

The group announced the postponement hours before the show was set to start.

The Chicks 2022 Tour - Set List Revealed for Summer Shows!

The Chicks kicked off their 2022 tour last week and though the trek was temporarily interrupted this past weekend, they’ll be on the road all summer long!

Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines, and Emily Robison are visiting more than 30 cities in North America during the tour, which will be supported by Patty Griffin.

The Chicks are performing some of their greatest hits, along with songs from their fifth studio album Gaslighter, which was released in 2020.

During the show on Sunday night (June 19), the group left the stage after less than 30 minutes of performing. Fans speculated that there were allergy issues because of the Indianapolis climate. The group ended up postponing a few more tour dates because they need to be on vocal rest.

The trio – Natalie Maines and multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer – have released a new update about their current tour, which comes just after the group stopped their show in Indianapolis over the weekend after only a half hour.

The Chicks End Concert After Only 30 Minutes, Fans Reveal the Rumored Reason Why

The Chicks – comprising of lead singer Natalie Maines and multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer – abruptly ended their concert last night after only 30 minutes.

The group was supposed to play the Ruoff Music Center in Indiana on Sunday (June 19) but left the stage after less than a half hour. They have since released a statement and fans are speculating about what may have happened.
