The movie is headed to Netflix 27 years after Tyler Perry first wrote it.
“I wrote this 27 years ago, and I finally get to show it to the world,” Tyler shared with fans on Twitter. “This is my new movie, ‘A Jazzman’s Blues.’ I can’t wait for you to see it on Netflix.”
Here’s a summary of the movie: A sweeping tale of forbidden love, A Jazzman’s Blues unspools forty years of secrets and lies soundtracked by juke joint blues in the deep South.
Tyler Perry is sharing some rare comments about his son.
In a new interview, the 52-year-old filmmaker explained why he keeps his 7-year-old son Aman, along with his other personal relationships, out of the spotlight.
“I’ve never said this publicly, but I took care of Ms. Tyson for the last 15 years of her life,” Tyler told AARP when asked about supporting black actors. “She was a proud woman, and the only reason I mention this is because she wrote it in her book. This woman had done so many amazing things, but she wasn’t well compensated for it.”
