Lupita Nyong’o has been cast in the upcoming A Quiet Place spinoff movie!
The Oscar-winning actress is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming film A Quiet Place: Day One, according to Deadline.
The first two A Quiet Place movies grossed a combined $638 million at the global box office and a third film is being developed at the moment with John Krasinski returning to direct.
A Quiet Place: Day One is based on an idea that John came up with and it likely won’t be directly connected to the series that stars Emily Blunt.

The film was released in theaters on May 28 and Paramount Pictures has kept to its promise to make the movie available for home viewing just 45 days after its theatrical release.

The movie brought in an estimated $11.7 million in its third weekend at the box office, resulting in a nearly $109 million domestic tally thus far.
The movie also pushed past the debut on In The Heights, which opened to a lower-than-expected $11.4 million, which was previously projected to reach $15 to $20 million.
A Quiet Place II is now the first film in the pandemic era to cross the $100 million mark domestically, having already broken pandemic era records.
